As the college basketball early signing period arrives Wednesday, the Lady Toppers should receive at least two commitments.
Jeffersonville (Ind.) senior forward Jalynn McClain and Green County guard Micah Jones both confirmed Monday that they plan to sign their official letters of intent with WKU on Wednesday.
McClain, who averaged 15.6 points and six rebounds as a junior, verbally committed to the Lady Toppers in June.
The 5-foot-8 Jones gave her pledge to WKU in the spring. Both players have suffered ACL tears in their high school careers.
Jones missed her junior season with the knee injury after averaging 15.2 points as a sophomore.
The 6-foot McClain tore her knee in July and is currently rehabbing. She said in September that she was hoping for a best-case scenario that would allow her to return to the court in January.
WKU coach Mary Taylor Cowles can’t comment on any recruits until the coaching staff has received their official letters of intent.
