Like I did last week, here are links to any high school football coverage we had this weekend, as well as results from games we couldn’t attend/gather info from. There is also some postgame video at the end of the post.
A few statistical points from the first two weeks:
- The 13 football teams in the Daily News’ coverage area have started 17-9. The five schools in Warren County are a combined 9-1, and seven area teams are undefeated.
- Class 5A foes Greenwood, Bowling Green and Warren Central are all averaging at least 41 points per game.
- Glasgow has scored the second most points (92) in Class 2A, and Edmonson County has the third most (102) in 3A. Warren East’s 14 points allowed ranks the Raiders third in Class 4A behind Covington Catholic (0) and Owensboro (7).
- South Warren is 1-1, but the Spartans are one of two teams in Class 3A, along with Wayne County, that has allowed just 14 points in two games.
