Warren Central senior defensive back Rondell Green signed with Indiana State this morning.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Green opted not to have a signing ceremony today, but was planning to send in his letter of intent this morning with his family. He said he also considered Western Kentucky.

Green had six interceptions as a senior and is the Dragons’ leader in career picks. He also rushed for 743 yards and had 19 total offensive touchdowns in 2013.

Here are his comments this morning on signing:

RONDELL GREEN

What did you like most about Indiana State? “I went on a visit last weekend. I could tell, just being there, that the team’s like a family. The coaches get along great, and the players get along great with the coaches. They have a great bond.”

What did they say about how they want to use you? “They want to use me at corner and kickoff return. They said they really like my speed and size at corner.”

Goals going in: “I just want to give them a spark and get them going, being able to play as soon as I get there.”
