2015 Nebraska post player Simone Goods commits to WKU Lady Tops

The Western Kentucky women’s basketball team got some good news late Sunday night, as the Lady Toppers picked up a 2015 verbal commitment from Simone Goods out of Omaha (Neb.) Benson High School.

Bobby Massey, Goods’ AAU coach with the Unity Stars program, confirmed Goods’ commitment by text message Sunday.

The 6-foot-2-inch post player averaged 13.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game last season as a junior at Omaha Northwest High School, according to MaxPreps. She transferred to Omaha Benson this year.

Goods was an all-state honorable mention selection by The Associated Press for Nebraska’s Class A last year.

She is the fourth verbal commitment in the Lady Tops’ 2015 class, joining Lafayette High School forward Dee Givens, Arkansas point guard Sidnee Bopp and Georgia shooting guard Kayla Smith. Alabama wing player Morgan Tipton recently decommitted from WKU.

Bath County forward Sarah Price has also committed to WKU in the 2016 class.
